CONTRAINDICATIONS
The hyperbaric chamber is operated by trained staff at the Inowrocław Rehabilitation Centre, and the therapy itself is a very low-risk process with very few complications.
Nevertheless, there are several contraindications to the therapy:
- pregnancy,
- fever,
- pneumothorax,
- pacemaker and history of surgery in the chest area,
- epilepsy,
- optic neuritis,
- viral infections,
- surgery on the temporal bone.

PREPARATION FOR OXYGEN THERAPY
- Alcohol consumption is prohibited up to 12 hours and smoking up to 2 hours before compression
- People with diabetes should eat a meal before the procedure and take anti-diabetic medication according to their current treatment regimen
- Do not use cosmetics, perfumes, hairspray or creams before the oxygen therapy procedure
- Dressings applied on the day of the procedure should not contain fat-based preparations (creams, ointments, etc.)
- Use the toilet immediately before entering the chamber Before entering the treatment room, change into underwear made of 100% cotton
- Remove jewellery and metal items, lenses from eyes and dentures
- Tell the chamber staff if you have an upper respiratory infection or other ailment
- Bring a small amount of water to drink during the procedure
